Hello and welcome to my blog, I'm Hannah and I am spending 7 weeks of my summer in a lab at university of Leicester. All thanks to funding from the Biochemical society. My hope is to during my 7 weeks in the lab successfully investigating the effects of skeletal muscle myopathies associated mutations in tropomyosin on thin filament activation of myosin ATPas and it's control by Calcium. This blog is to document this and share my experiences with other aspiring young scientists

First day!
So today was the start of what will be my 7 weeks in a lab here at Leicester.
Can't say I did much apart from familiarise myself with the place so I don't get lost in the future. But that is always something. Now for some reading and fingers crossed there will actually be lab work tomorrow.
